Acumatica shipping software for parcel labels

Shipments out by file or API.

GoatLabels is Acumatica shipping software for parcels that teams feed by file or API instead of a carrier plug-in. Export open shipments to a spreadsheet and import the CSV, or call the REST API, and USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL are rate-shopped on every parcel. Free is $0 a month for 50 shipments; Pro is $40 flat. It is not an Acumatica plug-in and does not write back automatically.

What are the ways to print carrier labels for Acumatica shipments?

Acumatica teams have four realistic routes: the predefined carrier plug-ins configured on the Carriers form, a shipping product from the Acumatica Marketplace, an enterprise multi-carrier system, or a file and API handoff to a label service. GoatLabels is the last one. Vendor facts below come from Acumatica's own help and marketplace pages, read on 2026-10-06.

What shipping software works with Acumatica?

Acumatica shipping integrations come in three forms: its own predefined carrier plug-ins, shipping products listed on the Acumatica Marketplace, and any outside label service that accepts a file or an API call. Acumatica's 2024 R2 help names plug-ins for FedEx, UPS, Stamps.com, ShipEngine, EasyPost, and Pacejet, all configured on the Carriers form.

GoatLabels belongs to the third group. It sits outside Acumatica, takes the ship-to address, weight, and reference for each parcel, and returns a label with tracking and cost. That suits a team that wants four carriers quoted without configuring a plug-in per carrier, and accepts that the handoff is a file or a script.

Can I print Acumatica shipping labels without a carrier plug-in?

Yes. Export the shipments that are ready to go from Acumatica to a spreadsheet, save the sheet as CSV, and import it into GoatLabels. The importer takes up to 500 rows per file and names the row and field of every error, so one bad address holds back one shipment and the rest of the batch still buys labels.

Check your Acumatica version's export feature and its import and export scenarios for the way to get that sheet. Which screen or inquiry gives you the right columns depends on your configuration, so check with your Acumatica admin or partner. Map ship-to, weight, dimensions, and the shipment number as the reference.

How does Acumatica connect to a shipping API?

A small service between the two systems reads shipments from Acumatica and calls the GoatLabels REST API to quote and buy each label. Acumatica describes its web services framework as covering a REST API, OData, push notifications, and webhooks, and its contract-based REST API entity list includes SalesOrder and Shipment.

On the GoatLabels side the API has unlimited calls on every plan, live and test keys, and Idempotency-Key support, so a retry after a timeout does not buy a second label. Tracking comes back on signed, replayable webhooks. GoatLabels ships no Acumatica customization package, so your developer or partner owns that service.

How do I get freight cost back to the Acumatica order?

Send the Acumatica shipment or sales order number as the reference on each label, then export the GoatLabels ledger and match on that reference. Every label debits the quoted amount from a prepaid wallet as a dated ledger line, and a multi-carton shipment produces one line per carton with the same reference.

Carrier re-weigh adjustments post to the same ledger as separate lines, so finance sees the final cost per shipment without a carrier invoice to reconcile. Posting the amount onto the shipment or invoice in Acumatica is your step, by import scenario or by script. GoatLabels does not write into Acumatica.

When is GoatLabels the wrong shipping software for Acumatica?

It is the wrong choice when labels must be created from the Acumatica shipment screen, when you ship on your own negotiated carrier contracts, or when the same tool must book LTL freight. GoatLabels has no Acumatica plug-in, no bring-your-own carrier accounts, and no freight service. It is parcel only.

It also offers no SLA, SSO, sub-accounts, or retailer compliance labels such as GS1-128, and support is email plus an in-app assistant. Teams with those needs should look at the carrier plug-ins or an enterprise multi-carrier system. GoatLabels fits parcel lanes where a daily file or a short script is an acceptable handoff.

Public API v1

Acumatica shipments, labeled by a script.

A service that reads Shipment records from Acumatica can rate-shop and buy each label through the GoatLabels REST API. Calls are unlimited on every plan, with live and test keys, Idempotency-Key support, signed replayable webhooks, an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, and rate-limit headers. API labels and dashboard labels draw on one prepaid wallet.

Acumatica shipping software: FAQ

Is GoatLabels an Acumatica plug-in or marketplace app?
No. GoatLabels is not a carrier plug-in and is not listed on the Acumatica Marketplace. Acumatica shipments reach it by CSV import of up to 500 rows per file or through the REST API, and nothing is installed in your Acumatica instance.
Which carriers can Acumatica shipments use through GoatLabels?
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL, rate-shopped on every parcel from one account, plus an international network. Parcels ship from US and Singapore origins. You cannot connect your own carrier accounts or negotiated rates; a direct Acumatica FedEx integration or Acumatica UPS integration on your own account means the predefined carrier plug-ins, not GoatLabels.
What does Acumatica shipping software cost with GoatLabels?
Free is $0 a month with 50 shipments a month. Pro is $40 a month flat with unlimited shipments and cheaper label rates. Both plans include CSV import and the API, labels are paid from a prepaid wallet, and there is no contract.
Does tracking update the Acumatica shipment automatically?
No, not automatically. GoatLabels returns the tracking number through the API and on signed webhooks, and in the ledger export. A script or import on your side has to post it to the shipment in Acumatica.
Can it handle LTL shipments from Acumatica?
No. GoatLabels is parcel only and does not quote or book LTL or freight. Keep your freight process for pallets and send only parcel cartons through the CSV import or the API.
Can I talk to someone about our Acumatica setup first?
Yes. Email contact@goatlabels.io with your Acumatica edition, monthly parcel volume, and a sample shipment export. We check the file against the bulk importer, quote the parcels across USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL, and walk through the API and ledger.
