Enterprise shipping software: how the options compare
Named vendors, public facts, honest limits.
Enterprise shipping software splits into quote-priced platforms such as ProShip, ConnectShip, nShift and ShipERP, which add ERP modules, LTL and SSO, and tools with public prices. GoatLabels is the second kind: USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL rate-shopped from one prepaid wallet, with a REST API and bulk CSV, on Free ($0) or Pro ($40 a month).
Four carriers on every parcel
USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL quoted side by side, from US and Singapore origins.
A wallet, not a contract
Fund a prepaid wallet; every label debits the quoted amount to a dated ledger entry.

What is enterprise shipping software?
Enterprise shipping software is a multi-carrier platform that rate-shops, prints labels, and tracks parcels at high volume, usually wired into an ERP or warehouse system. The established vendors add LTL freight, compliance documents, single sign-on and certified ERP modules, and they sell on quoted contracts after a sales call. A second group of tools publishes its prices and lets a team start without a contract. GoatLabels belongs to that second group: it handles the parcel side for high-volume teams and is upfront about what it does not do.
How do the enterprise shipping platforms compare?
They differ most in how they are sold: ProShip, ConnectShip, nShift and ShipERP do not publish prices, while ShipStation, EasyPost and GoatLabels do. Carrier counts below are each vendor's own claim, quoted from its site on 2026-09-26; follow the source link for the current wording.

| GoatLabels | Public plans: Free at $0 a month with 50 shipments, Pro at a flat $40 a month with unlimited shipments. Labels are paid from a prepaid wallet. No contract. | USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL rate-shopped on every parcel, plus an international network. When is GoatLabels the right fit, and when is it not?
GoatLabels fits a high-volume team that ships parcels on USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL and wants public prices, an API and bulk CSV without a contract. It does not fit a buyer whose checklist requires SSO, an SLA, sub-accounts, its own carrier contracts, freight or a native ERP module. Here is every one of those, answered plainly.
| Requirement | GoatLabels | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Single sign-on (SAML / SSO) | No | GoatLabels has no enterprise SSO. If your security policy requires it, pick a platform that offers it. |
| Contractual SLA | No | There is no signed service-level agreement. Support is by email and the in-app assistant; there is no phone line or dedicated account manager. |
| Sub-accounts per client or division | No | One account, one wallet. Every ledger line carries your own reference, so cost per client or cost center is an export you filter. |
| Your own negotiated carrier rates | No | Rates come from GoatLabels' carrier accounts; you cannot connect your own UPS or FedEx contract. If your negotiated rates beat ours, keep them. |
| LTL, pallets or freight | No | GoatLabels ships parcels only. Freight needs a platform that quotes LTL. |
| Native SAP, NetSuite or Oracle module | No | There is no ERP plug-in. Your ERP or WMS connects through the REST API or a CSV export. |
| Four-carrier rate shopping on every parcel | Yes | USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL quoted side by side, each as one all-in number that is the amount the wallet is debited. |
| API a developer can build on | Yes | REST, unlimited calls on every plan, live and test keys, Idempotency-Key, signed replayable webhooks, OpenAPI 3.1 and rate-limit headers. |
| Bulk labels from a WMS or ERP export | Yes | CSV import up to 500 rows per file. Errors name the row and field, and one bad row does not fail the batch. |
| Auditable cost per label | Yes | Every label debits the quoted amount to a dated ledger entry with your reference, and carrier adjustments post as their own records. |
How much does enterprise shipping software cost?
Most enterprise shipping platforms quote a price only after a sales call, so the real cost is unknown until you are in a procurement cycle. As of 2026-09-26, ProShip, ConnectShip, nShift and ShipERP publish no price list. ShipStation publishes plans from $14.99 to $349.99 a month that rise with the shipment tier, and EasyPost charges per label after its free allowance.
GoatLabels has two public plans. Free is $0 a month with 50 shipments. Pro is a flat $40 a month with unlimited shipments and cheaper label rates. Labels are paid from a prepaid wallet funded by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH or crypto, and the quoted rate is the amount debited. See thefull pricing and howcarrier billing adjustmentsare recorded.
What should a high-volume team check before switching?
Check your hard requirements first, then compare rates on your own lanes, not on a sample parcel.
- Export last month's shipments (CSV is fine) and get a four-carrier quote on the same lanes before you compare anything else.
- List the requirements that are contractual, such as SSO, an SLA or ERP certification. Any one of them rules GoatLabels out, and that is fine to learn early.
- Check whether you depend on your own carrier contracts. If you do, compare your negotiated rates against a GoatLabels quote on the same parcels.
- Decide how orders will arrive: 13 store connectors, a CSV from the WMS, or the REST API from your own system.
- Map cost allocation: put the client, division or PO number in the reference field so the ledger export splits cleanly.
Enterprise shipping software FAQ
- What is enterprise shipping software?
- Enterprise shipping software is a multi-carrier platform that rate-shops, prints labels and tracks parcels at high volume, usually connected to an ERP or WMS. The established vendors, such as ProShip, ConnectShip, nShift and ShipERP, sell on quoted contracts and add LTL, SSO and ERP modules. GoatLabels covers the parcel side with public prices and no contract.
- Is GoatLabels enterprise shipping software?
- GoatLabels is built for high-volume teams, not for enterprise procurement checklists. It rate-shops USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL, takes orders from 13 store connectors, CSV and a REST API, and bills from a prepaid wallet on Free ($0) or Pro ($40 a month, unlimited shipments). It has no SSO, no SLA, no sub-accounts, no bring-your-own carrier accounts and no LTL.
- How much does enterprise shipping software cost?
- Most enterprise shipping platforms do not publish prices. As of 2026-09-26, ProShip, ConnectShip, nShift and ShipERP all route buyers to a call, demo or trial instead of a price list. ShipStation publishes plans from $14.99 to $349.99 a month by shipment tier, and GoatLabels publishes Free at $0 and Pro at a flat $40 a month.
- Can I use my own UPS or FedEx account with GoatLabels?
- No. GoatLabels buys labels on its own carrier accounts, so you cannot bring a negotiated UPS or FedEx contract. The upside is no rate card to negotiate and four carriers from the first label. If your negotiated rates beat a GoatLabels quote on the same parcels, keep your current setup.
- Does GoatLabels integrate with SAP, NetSuite or another ERP?
- Not through a native module. An ERP or WMS connects through the REST API, which has test keys, an Idempotency-Key header, signed webhooks and an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, or through a bulk CSV export of up to 500 rows per file. Teams that need a certified SAP add-on should look at a platform such as ShipERP.
- Can I talk to someone before switching?
- Yes. Email contact@goatlabels.io with your monthly volume and carriers, and a person replies with USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL rates on your real lanes and an honest read on fit. There is no contract to sign afterwards, and you can start on the Free plan at any time.
