To print Xero shipping labels, export your invoices from Xero as a CSV file and import that file into GoatLabels, which rate-shops USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL on each parcel. Free is $0 a month for 50 shipments and Pro is $40 a month flat. GoatLabels has no native Xero connector and does not write costs back to Xero automatically.
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL quoted together on each parcel behind a Xero invoice, from one account with no carrier contracts to set up.
Every label debits the quoted amount to a dated ledger entry that carries the Xero invoice number you sent as the reference.
Xero is accounting software, and the Xero help pages we read describe no shipping label feature. That leaves four routes: retype addresses from the invoice export, install a shipping app for Xero from its App Store, buy an enterprise multi-carrier system, or hand the export to a label service. GoatLabels is the last: four carriers from one account and a prepaid ledger, no app to install. Sources checked 2026-10-06.

Not from Xero by itself, as far as its documentation shows: Xero is accounting software, and the Xero help pages we read describe no shipping label feature. Labels come from a separate tool that takes the customer, address, and reference from a Xero invoice and buys postage from a carrier.
Xero points to add-ons for jobs outside accounting. Its marketplace, the Xero App Store, has an inventory apps category, and Starshipit is listed there as a shipping and fulfilment platform. The other route is a file handoff: export invoices from Xero and import the file into a label service such as GoatLabels, with nothing installed in your Xero organization.
Export the invoices that are ready to ship from Xero as a CSV file, add parcel weights, and import the file into GoatLabels. Xero exports invoices, bills, credit notes, prepayments, and overpayments as CSV, up to a maximum of 500 transactions per export, with larger sets exported in batches. GoatLabels accepts up to 500 rows per import, so one Xero export fits one import.
An invoice does not record what the box weighs, so the warehouse adds weight and dimensions before the import. Put the Xero invoice number in the reference column. If a row is wrong, the importer names the row and the field, and one bad row does not hold back the other parcels in the file.
Check the file before you rely on it: Xero's help says some details, such as contact address details, can be omitted from the export for some user roles. A label file needs a full ship-to on every row, so open one export and confirm the address columns are present and filled.
If the addresses are missing, have a user whose role includes contact details run the export, or join the invoice file to a contact list by customer name before importing. B2B orders often ship to a site that differs from the billing address, so confirm which address your team records on the invoice. We did not find a Xero sales order or shipment export, so the invoice file is the practical starting point.
Through a ledger export that a bookkeeper posts or attaches, not through an automatic sync. Each GoatLabels label debits the quoted amount from a prepaid wallet and writes a dated ledger entry carrying the reference you sent. Use the Xero invoice number as that reference and every freight cost lines up with one invoice.
A multi-carton order produces one ledger line per label, all with the same invoice number, and a carrier re-weigh adjustment posts to the same ledger as its own line. At month end the bookkeeper exports the ledger, totals by invoice number, and records freight expense in Xero or attaches the file as support.
It is the wrong choice if you need an app that installs inside Xero and syncs both ways, because GoatLabels has no Xero connector and never writes to your books. It also cannot use your own carrier accounts or negotiated rates, and it does not book LTL or freight.
If you want invoices to push to a shipping tool the moment they are approved, with tracking and cost posted back untouched by a person, look at the Xero shipping software in its App Store and check each listing. GoatLabels suits B2B teams that ship parcels in daily batches, are comfortable with a CSV export, and want four carriers quoted without opening carrier contracts.

When a daily file becomes a chore, a script or workflow tool on your side can send each shipment to the REST API instead. Every plan includes unlimited calls, live and test keys, Idempotency-Key support, signed replayable webhooks, and rate-limit headers. Check Xero's developer documentation for how to read invoices on your side; GoatLabels does not provide that half.
