Multi-carrier shipping software quotes several carriers for each parcel and prints the label for the one you pick. GoatLabels does this for USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL from one account with the carriers included, at $0 a month on Free or $40 a month flat on Pro. The main limit: you cannot bring your own carrier contracts or negotiated rates.
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL are quoted side by side on every parcel, with no carrier agreements for your team to open or renew.
Labels from all four carriers debit one prepaid wallet, and each debit is a dated ledger entry that carries your reference.
Every multi-carrier shipping platform follows one of two models. In one, you hold the carrier contracts and the software connects to them. In the other, the carriers come with the account. GoatLabels is the second model: four carriers included, no contracts to bring, and no way to import your own rates. The table uses only what each vendor publishes; checked 2026-10-06.

Multi-carrier shipping software is a single tool that requests prices from several carriers for the same parcel, lets a person or a rule choose one, and prints that carrier's label. It replaces a row of carrier websites, each with its own login, address book, label format, and invoice.
For a B2B team the value of multi-carrier label software is less about the label and more about what surrounds it. Orders come from one place, such as a store, a file, or an API call. Tracking numbers come back in one format. Shipping cost lands in one record that finance can read. A shipping desk that handles forty parcels a day across three carriers feels the difference at once.
There are two models: bring your own carrier contracts, or one account with the carriers included. In the first, your company signs with each carrier, negotiates rates, and enters those account numbers into the software, which acts as a control panel. Each carrier still invoices you directly.
In the second model the software vendor holds the carrier relationships. You open one account, see a price per carrier, and pay the vendor for each label. There is nothing to negotiate and nothing to renew, but the rates are the vendor's rates, not yours. GoatLabels works this way, with USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL quoted as one all-in number each.
Bringing your own contracts makes sense when your parcel volume is large and steady enough that a carrier has given you rates worth protecting. It also fits when a customer or retailer requires shipments on a named account, or when you need carriers and services beyond the four majors.
The cost is administrative. Someone owns each carrier agreement, tracks its terms, and reconciles a separate invoice per carrier each period. Software in this model can come with an implementation project and a quote from sales. That effort pays off for a distribution network with many sites and lanes; it is heavy for a single warehouse shipping mixed B2B orders.
One account with carriers included makes sense when you have no negotiated rates, or when your volume is spread too thinly across carriers to earn strong ones. You can start without opening a carrier agreement, and every parcel is compared across USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL without a contract behind any of them.
It also simplifies the books. In GoatLabels each label debits the quoted amount from a prepaid wallet and writes a dated ledger entry that carries your order or customer reference. Carrier re-weigh adjustments post to the same ledger. Finance reads one export instead of four carrier invoices, and a multi-carton order shows as several lines under one reference.
GoatLabels is the wrong choice if you need to ship on your own carrier accounts or negotiated rates, because it does not support them. It also has no LTL or freight, no native ERP, WMS, or EDI connectors, no SSO, no SLA, no sub-accounts, and no retailer compliance labels such as GS1-128.
Teams with regional carriers, pallet freight on the same screen as parcels, or a retailer routing guide to follow usually need an enterprise multi-carrier shipping solution built around their own contracts. GoatLabels suits B2B teams that ship parcels on the four major carriers, want prices compared on every order, and prefer a flat monthly fee to a carrier negotiation.

One integration covers USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL, so your developers do not build and maintain a client per carrier. The REST API has unlimited calls on every plan, live and test keys, Idempotency-Key support, signed replayable webhooks, and rate-limit headers. API labels and dashboard labels spend the same prepaid wallet.

Free is $0 a month with 50 shipments a month. Pro is $40 a month flat with unlimited shipments and cheaper label rates. Bulk CSV, 13 connectors, and the REST API come with both, and labels are paid from a prepaid wallet.
