A ShipStation alternative for B2B parcel shippers

Flat price. Four carriers. No tiers.

GoatLabels is a ShipStation alternative for B2B teams that ship parcels and want a flat price: Free is $0 a month for 50 shipments and Pro is $40 a month with unlimited shipments, rate-shopping USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL from one account. The main limit: you cannot connect your own carrier accounts, and there is no LTL, so ShipStation remains the better fit for those needs.

ShipStation alternatives for B2B, compared

How does GoatLabels compare with ShipStation, Shippo, and EasyPost?

ShipStation vs Shippo vs EasyPost comes down to pricing model first: ShipStation prices by shipment-volume tier, Shippo by plan and label count, EasyPost per label through an API, and GoatLabels at one flat rate. The table uses only what each vendor publishes on its pricing page, read on 2026-10-06. ShipStation is the stronger choice on carrier accounts, LTL, and plan-level services, and the table says so.

Why do B2B teams look for a ShipStation alternative?

You may start looking when the subscription climbs with your volume. ShipStation prices by shipment tier: its pricing page shows the Standard plan at $149.99 a month for 1,000 shipments, $249.99 for 5,000, and $449.99 for 10,000. A wholesaler whose parcel count doubles in a busy quarter moves up a tier, and the software line on the budget moves with it.

The second reason is features the team does not use. A distributor that ships cartons to business addresses may not need storefront branding or marketplace tooling, and would rather pay for labels and a clean cost record. A ShipStation alternative for wholesale teams like that has to cover rate shopping, bulk import, and cost records rather than consumer features. That is a fair reason to compare, but it is not a reason to leave if you rely on what ShipStation does well, which the last question on this page covers.

How is GoatLabels priced compared with ShipStation?

GoatLabels has two prices and no volume tiers: Free is $0 a month with 50 shipments, and Pro is a flat $40 a month with unlimited shipments and cheaper label rates. It is a flat rate ShipStation alternative in the plain sense: there is no contract, and the fee does not move with volume. ShipStation publishes three plans, each priced by monthly shipment count, so the same team pays a different amount at 500, 2,000, and 10,000 shipments.

The subscription is only part of the cost. ShipStation lets Standard plan customers bring existing carrier accounts, so a shipper with strong negotiated rates may pay less per label there even with a higher subscription. GoatLabels labels are bought from one GoatLabels account at its quoted rates. When weighing ShipStation alternatives for distributors, compare the total: software fee plus label spend on your real lanes, not the software fee alone.

Can a B2B team use the API and bulk import on every plan?

Yes. GoatLabels includes the REST API with unlimited calls and the bulk CSV import on both Free and Pro. The API has live and test keys, Idempotency-Key support so a retried call never buys a second label, signed replayable webhooks, and an OpenAPI 3.1 spec. ShipStation lists its Shipping API as a Standard plan feature; the Starter feature list does not include it.

The CSV import takes up to 500 rows per file and names the row and field of any error, and one bad row does not fail the batch. Thirteen store connectors cover Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, BigCommerce, Magento, and others. Anything else, including an ERP or a WMS, arrives by CSV or API, because GoatLabels has no native ERP, WMS, or EDI connectors.

How does shipping cost reach finance without a carrier invoice?

Every label debits the quoted amount from a prepaid wallet and writes a dated ledger entry that carries your reference, such as a purchase order or customer number. Finance exports the ledger and groups by that reference to see freight cost per order or per account. There is no month-end carrier invoice to match line by line.

Carrier re-weigh adjustments post to the same ledger as their own lines, so a corrected weight shows up beside the original charge. A multi-carton order produces several labels, each a ledger line with the same reference. GoatLabels does not write into an accounting system or ERP automatically; the export or the API is the source, and your own import does the posting.

When is ShipStation the better fit than GoatLabels?

ShipStation is the better fit if you ship on your own carrier accounts, book LTL, or need plan-level services. Its pricing page lists bringing existing carrier accounts on Standard, LTL rate comparison and booking, phone support on Standard, and dedicated implementation, ODBC, and warehouse management on Premium. GoatLabels offers none of those.

The same page also lists Google SSO, a QuickBooks integration, and dedicated account management as plan features, so check which plan carries each before you buy. GoatLabels has no SSO, no account managers, no SLA, no sub-accounts, and no native ERP connectors. As a B2B ShipStation alternative it suits parcel-only teams that want one flat price, four carriers from one account, and a ledger finance can use.

ShipStation alternative for B2B: FAQ

Is GoatLabels a cheaper ShipStation alternative for B2B shippers?
It depends on your label rates. GoatLabels Pro is a flat $40 a month with unlimited shipments, while ShipStation's Standard plan is listed at $149.99 a month for 1,000 shipments. If you ship on your own negotiated carrier rates, ShipStation may still cost less overall, because GoatLabels cannot import them.
Can I use my own UPS or FedEx account with GoatLabels?
No. Labels are bought from one GoatLabels account, and you cannot add your own accounts or negotiated rates. ShipStation lists bringing existing carrier accounts as a Standard plan feature, Shippo offers it on Starter for 5 cents a label and free on Pro, and EasyPost charges $20 a month plus a per-label fee for it.
Does GoatLabels handle LTL freight like ShipStation?
No. GoatLabels is parcel only and does not quote or book LTL or freight. ShipStation lists LTL rate comparison and LTL quoting and booking on its pricing page. If pallets are a regular part of your outbound, keep a freight tool or stay with ShipStation.
Which carriers does GoatLabels rate-shop?
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL, quoted on every parcel from one account with one all-in number per carrier, plus an international network. Parcels ship from US and Singapore origins, and duties can be set to DDP or DDU through the API.
Does GoatLabels have phone support or an account manager?
No. Support is by email and an in-app assistant, with no phone line, no dedicated account manager, and no SLA. ShipStation lists phone support on Standard and dedicated implementation on Premium, and Shippo lists a dedicated account manager on Premier.
Can I talk to someone before moving off ShipStation?
Yes. Email contact@goatlabels.io with your monthly parcel volume, your main lanes, and a sample order export if you have one. We check the file against the bulk importer, price the parcels across USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL, and tell you plainly if ShipStation is the better fit.
