Fishbowl shipping software buys carrier labels for the sales orders you pick and pack in Fishbowl. GoatLabels does that by bulk CSV import or REST API, rate-shopping USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL on every parcel, on Free at $0 a month or Pro at $40 a month flat. It has no Fishbowl plugin, so the handoff is a file or an API call you own.
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL quoted together on each parcel that leaves your Fishbowl warehouse, from one account with no carrier contracts to open.
Each label debits the quoted amount to a dated ledger entry that carries the Fishbowl sales order number you send as the reference.
The Fishbowl pages we read describe parcel labels going through a connected shipping service. The documented routes are the ShipExpress plugin built on Shippo and a ShipStation integration; larger shippers add an enterprise multi-carrier system. GoatLabels is a fourth route with no plugin: a file or API handoff, four carriers from one account, and a prepaid ledger. Vendor facts checked 2026-10-06.

The Fishbowl pages we read describe parcel labels printing through a connected shipping service, not a built-in carrier engine. The route Fishbowl announced in 2020 is the ShipExpress plugin, built on Shippo, which Fishbowl described as giving label printing, tracking, and rate quote comparison across more than 50 carriers once you create a Shippo account.
Fishbowl Drive also shows Shippo or ShipStation on its ship button when either integration is connected. So the real choice for a Fishbowl warehouse is which outside label service sits behind the pick, pack, and ship steps, and how orders reach it. GoatLabels is one such service for Fishbowl multi-carrier shipping, reached by file or API instead of a plugin.
Export the sales orders that are ready to ship as a CSV file and import that file into GoatLabels. The importer takes up to 500 rows per file, names the row and field of each error, and does not fail the batch over one bad row, so a missing ZIP code holds back one order and the other cartons still get labels.
We did not find vendor steps for a sales order CSV export in the Fishbowl Inventory shipping or reporting screens, so check your reports and data export options first. Fishbowl Advanced documents a data query endpoint in its REST API, which is another way to produce the same list of ship-to addresses, weights, and order numbers.
Yes, with a small script between the two systems. For Fishbowl Advanced shipping by script, the vendor documents a REST API with Bearer-token authentication and Sales Orders and Inventory sections, and GoatLabels has a REST API with unlimited calls on every plan. The script reads orders ready to ship, requests the four carrier quotes, buys the label your rule picks, and stores the tracking number.
On the GoatLabels side you get live and test keys, Idempotency-Key support so a retried call never buys a second label, signed replayable webhooks, and an OpenAPI 3.1 spec. We found no documented Fishbowl webhooks, so plan on polling Fishbowl on a schedule. GoatLabels ships no packaged Fishbowl app; your team owns the script.
Every label debits the quoted amount from a prepaid wallet and writes a dated ledger entry carrying the reference you sent, normally the Fishbowl sales order number. Export the ledger and join on that number to get freight cost per order for billing the customer or posting to a cost account.
A multi-carton order produces several labels, each its own ledger line with the same reference, and a carrier re-weigh adjustment posts to the same ledger. GoatLabels does not write cost or tracking into Fishbowl automatically. Fishbowl Advanced documents a CSV import endpoint, which your script may be able to use to put that data back on the order, if that system's API allows it.
It is the wrong fit if you want a supported plugin inside Fishbowl, your own negotiated carrier rates, LTL or freight booking, or retailer compliance labels such as GS1-128, because GoatLabels offers none of those. It is parcel only, from US and Singapore origins, and support is by email and an in-app assistant, with no phone line or SLA.
Manufacturers that ship pallets and parcels from one screen, or that must ship on a customer's carrier account, are better served by a connected service that supports those accounts. GoatLabels suits Fishbowl teams whose orders leave as parcels and who would rather run an export or a short script than maintain another subscription and plugin.

Fishbowl already holds the ship-to, the cartons, and the order number. A scheduled script can read those orders and call the GoatLabels REST API to rate-shop and buy each label, with unlimited calls on every plan, live and test keys, Idempotency-Key support, signed replayable webhooks, and rate-limit headers.
