Extensiv shipping labels can be bought outside the warehouse system: GoatLabels takes orders from Extensiv 3PL Warehouse Manager as a CSV file or an API call and rate-shops USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL on each parcel. Free is $0 a month for 50 shipments; Pro is $40 flat. It is not a WMS and has no Extensiv connector.
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL quoted together on each parcel your warehouse packs, from one account with no carrier contracts to open.
Every label debits the quoted amount to a dated ledger entry that carries the client or order reference you send.
For Extensiv 3PL Warehouse Manager shipping labels, a 3PL has three usual routes: Extensiv's own Small Parcel Suite, an enterprise multi-carrier system, or a separate label service fed by file or API. GoatLabels is the last one. It needs no carrier accounts and no contract, but it is not a WMS and nothing syncs with Extensiv automatically. Extensiv facts below were checked on 2026-10-06.

| Where labels are made | In a separate dashboard or through a REST API, outside the warehouse system. | Inside 3PL Warehouse Manager. Extensiv lists SmartPack, SmartParcel, and a Parcel API as parts of the suite. | In its own system, integrated with the WMS as a project. | On each carrier's site, one shipment at a time. |
| Carrier accounts | None to set up. Labels are bought on GoatLabels' accounts; your own or a client's negotiated rates cannot be added. | Extensiv's help center covers customer and warehouse carrier accounts, including connecting a UPS account. | Your own carrier contracts. | One login and one account per carrier. |

Yes. Extensiv label printing comes from its Small Parcel Suite inside 3PL Warehouse Manager, and its product page names SmartPack, SmartParcel, and a Parcel API as components. Its help center describes managing customer and warehouse carrier accounts in the Small Parcel space, so the native route is built around carrier accounts that you or your clients hold.
That is the right tool for many warehouses. A separate label service is an Extensiv Small Parcel alternative only in narrower cases: a new client with no carrier account yet, a lane where you want four carriers quoted without opening contracts, or a small site that has not set up the suite.
Yes, by buying the labels through a service that holds the carrier accounts. GoatLabels quotes USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL on every parcel from one account and shows one all-in number per carrier, so a warehouse can ship a new client's orders without first opening carrier accounts for that client.
The trade-off is control over rates. You cannot bring your own or a client's negotiated carrier rates into GoatLabels, so a client with a strong UPS or FedEx contract should keep shipping on that account through the warehouse system.
By a file or by an API call, because GoatLabels has no connector to Extensiv. For the file route, export the orders that are packed and ready using whatever report or export your Extensiv account offers, then import the CSV into GoatLabels. The importer takes up to 500 rows per file, names the row and field of any error, and keeps going past a bad row.
For the API route, a script on your side reads ready orders and calls the GoatLabels REST API to quote and buy each label. Calls are unlimited on every plan, with test keys and Idempotency-Key support so a retry does not buy a second label. Tracking then has to be posted back to Extensiv by that same script or by hand.
Put the client code and order number in the reference field on every shipment. Each label debits the quoted amount from one prepaid wallet and writes a dated ledger entry that carries that reference, and carrier re-weigh adjustments post to the same ledger. Export the ledger and group by client to get the postage each client used.
GoatLabels stops there. It has no sub-accounts, no per-client balances, and no client billing, so the markup, the invoice, and the storage and handling charges stay in your warehouse system or accounting tool. A multi-carton order produces several ledger lines with the same reference.
It is the wrong fit when 3PL Warehouse Manager parcel labels must print inside the pack flow with tracking written back automatically, because GoatLabels does not integrate with Extensiv. It is also wrong for clients who require their own carrier accounts, for LTL or freight, and for retailer compliance labels such as GS1-128.
GoatLabels does not manage inventory, picking, or client billing, and it offers no SLA, SSO, or account manager. It suits a 3PL that wants a low-commitment parcel lane beside the warehouse system: a few clients, a second site, or overflow volume where four quotes and a clean ledger matter more than a single screen.

A small service beside your warehouse system can read packed orders, ask for four carrier quotes, buy the label your rule picks, and store the tracking number. The REST API has unlimited calls on every plan, live and test keys, Idempotency-Key support, signed replayable webhooks, and an OpenAPI 3.1 spec. You build and own that service; GoatLabels ships no Extensiv app.
