Cin7 shipping labels can be bought outside Cin7 by exporting sale orders to a CSV file or calling a REST API. GoatLabels rate-shops USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL on every parcel from one account, on Free at $0 a month or Pro at $40 a month flat. It has no Cin7 connector, so tracking goes back into Cin7 through your own import or script.
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL quoted side by side on every parcel you export from Cin7, from one account with no carrier contracts to open.
Each label debits the quoted amount from a prepaid wallet to a dated ledger entry that carries the Cin7 order number you sent.
Cin7 Core shipping labels come from a connected shipping service, and ShipStation is the one its help center documents in detail. The alternatives are another connected shipping app, an enterprise multi-carrier system, or a file and API handoff to a label service. GoatLabels is that last route: no Cin7 app, four carriers from one account, and a prepaid ledger.

Only one ShipStation account can be connected to Cin7 Core. | An account with that app, plus whatever carrier accounts it needs. | Your own carrier contracts, often several. |

The Cin7 Core help pages we read describe shipping labels printing through a connected shipping service. With ShipStation set up as a shipping service, fulfillment is managed in Cin7 Core, shipment information syncs to ShipStation, and ShipStation generates labels that can be printed in Cin7 Core. Cin7's help center notes that only one ShipStation account can be connected to Cin7 Core.
That route suits a team that already runs ShipStation and wants to stay on one screen. The other route is to take the orders out of Cin7 and buy labels in a separate label service, by file or by API. It adds a handoff step, but it does not depend on a connected app, and it lets you compare four carriers on each parcel from a single account.
Yes. Export the sale orders that are ready to ship from Cin7 as a CSV file and import that file into GoatLabels, which accepts up to 500 rows per import. The file needs the ship-to name and address, the parcel weight and dimensions, and your Cin7 order number as the reference. Check the export or report options in your Cin7 account for the exact steps, because they differ between Cin7 products.
The importer names the row and the field of every error, and one bad row does not fail the batch. A missing postal code holds back a single order while the rest of the wave gets quoted across USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Orders with several cartons can produce several labels, each recorded against the same order reference, so a wholesale order of four boxes stays together.
Yes, with a script that you own. Cin7 Core has an API, so a small service on your side can read the orders that are ready to ship and call the GoatLabels REST API to create each shipment, read the four carrier quotes, and buy the one your rule picks. GoatLabels does not ship a packaged Cin7 app, so nothing installs inside Cin7.
The GoatLabels API has unlimited calls on every plan, live and test keys, and Idempotency-Key support, so a call retried after a timeout does not buy a second label. Tracking events arrive on signed webhooks that can be replayed, and an OpenAPI 3.1 spec describes every endpoint. Build against the test key first, then switch keys when the pick and pack flow is proven.
They get back through your own import or script, because GoatLabels does not write into Cin7 automatically. The tracking number is returned when the label is bought and again on webhooks as the parcel moves. A script may be able to post it to the order, if that system's API allows it, or a person can paste or import it using whatever update tools your Cin7 account provides.
Cost works the same way. Every label debits the quoted amount from a prepaid wallet and writes a dated ledger entry that carries the Cin7 order number you sent. Export the ledger, match on that reference, and you have the freight cost per order for margin reports or rebilling. Carrier re-weigh adjustments post to the same ledger as their own lines.
It is the wrong fit if you need labels printed inside Cin7 with tracking written back automatically, because GoatLabels has no Cin7 connector and no automatic write-back. It also cannot use your own carrier accounts or negotiated rates, and it does not book LTL or freight, print GS1-128 retailer compliance labels, or produce EDI documents.
A team that wants pick, pack, and label on one Cin7 screen should use a connected shipping service such as the documented ShipStation setup. As Cin7 shipping software, GoatLabels fits a team that ships parcels, is comfortable with a file or a short script as the handoff, and wants USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL compared on every parcel without another large subscription or a contract.

Cin7 already holds the ship-to address, the lines, and the order number. A script that reads those orders can rate-shop and buy a label through the REST API, with unlimited calls on every plan, live and test keys, Idempotency-Key support, signed replayable webhooks, and rate-limit headers. The dashboard and the API draw on the same prepaid wallet.
