Brightpearl shipping software is carrier software that turns Brightpearl goods-out notes into labels and returns tracking references. GoatLabels can fill that role by REST API or CSV import, rate-shopping USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL on each parcel for $0 a month on Free or $40 a month flat on Pro. It has no Brightpearl connector, so you build or run the handoff.
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL quoted together on each parcel you send from Brightpearl, from one account with no carrier contracts to set up.
Every label debits the quoted amount to a dated ledger entry that carries the order reference you send.
Brightpearl sets shipping methods and charges on sales orders and treats carrier labels as an integration job. Its integrations page lists ShipStation, Shiptheory, and others. GoatLabels is not on that list: it is an API or file handoff you run yourself. Vendor facts were checked on 2026-10-06.

Brightpearl's help pages treat Brightpearl shipping labels as a job for integrated carrier software. Its shipping methods, zones, and prices exist to quote and assign shipping charges to sales orders, which is a pricing step and not a label purchase.
The documented pattern is that an integration replicates Brightpearl goods-out notes as shipments in the carrier software you choose, then updates Brightpearl with tracking references. So the real question for a Brightpearl team is which carrier software sits on the other side of that Brightpearl carrier integration, and who maintains the link.
You build a small connector that sits between the two APIs. Brightpearl says its API lets you retrieve and post the information fulfillment software needs, and that events can be notified to your integration through a registered webhook. The connector reads a goods-out note and calls GoatLabels to rate-shop and buy the label.
On the GoatLabels side the REST API has unlimited calls on every plan, live and test keys, and Idempotency-Key support, so a retried call does not buy twice. The connector then posts the tracking reference back to Brightpearl. GoatLabels supplies no packaged connector, so your developer owns that code.
Yes, for lower volumes. Brightpearl documents that goods-out notes can be exported one by one as a CSV file, and GoatLabels imports CSV files of up to 500 rows. An import error names the row and field, and one bad row does not fail the rest of the batch. Brightpearl goods-out note labels then print from the GoatLabels dashboard or through PrintNode auto-print.
Because that export is per note, the file route is practical for a pilot or a few dozen parcels a day rather than a full retail peak. Check whether a Brightpearl report or list export gives your team a batch file before planning around it. Past that point the API route is the better investment.
Send the Brightpearl order or goods-out note number as the reference on each label. GoatLabels debits the quoted amount from a prepaid wallet and writes a dated ledger entry carrying that reference, so an export groups cleanly into parcel cost per order.
Carrier re-weigh adjustments post to the same ledger as their own lines, so finance sees the correction next to the original debit. A multi-carton order produces several labels, each a ledger line with the same reference. Posting those costs into Brightpearl is your import or script; GoatLabels does not write to it.
It is the wrong choice if you want a ready-made Brightpearl integration with tracking written back out of the box, because GoatLabels has no connector and no automatic write-back. A carrier platform named on Brightpearl's integrations page is the shorter path there.
It is also wrong if you ship on your own negotiated carrier rates, need LTL or freight, or require SSO, an SLA, or phone support. GoatLabels fits a Brightpearl team with a developer or a modest daily parcel count that wants four carriers compared from one prepaid account without a contract.

A connector on your side reads each Brightpearl goods-out note and calls the REST API to rate-shop and buy the label. Calls are unlimited on every plan, with live and test keys, Idempotency-Key support, signed replayable webhooks, and rate-limit headers. The dashboard and the API spend the same prepaid wallet.
